We are seeking an experienced and ambitious General Manager, or a suitable management team, to lead The Mill at Leighton - a characterful and well regarded village pub in the Shropshire countryside. This is a rare opportunity to take the reins of a thriving community asset with a strong reputation for quality food, real ales and warm hospitality.
The Mill at Leighton, near Shrewsbury is a beautiful historic pub with a story spanning almost 1,000 years, with part of the original mill recorded in the Doomesday Book. Located on the B4380 between Ironbirdge and Shrewsbury, it combines a stunning setting with a loyal customer base and a reputation for delivering an excellent customer experience.
Renovated five years ago after local people came together to save it from closure, The Mill is now an established and valued destination for both locals and visitors. With the current General Manager moving on after five successful years, we are looking for the right person or partnership to build on that momentum and take the business into its next chapter.
Leighton Pub Company is a community-owned pub nestled in a picturesque village. We are dedicated to offering locally sourced, freshly cooked food, a selection of fine ales and wines, and delivering exceptional customer service that fosters a welcoming atmosphere.
About the role
You will bring strong pub or hospitality management experience, ideally gained at General Manager level within a fast-paced, food-led environment. You will e confident leading both front and back of house operations, deliering excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards across every aspect of the business.
You will be commercially aware and operationally hands-on, with a strong understanding of sales performance, gross profit control and KPI delivery. Just as importamntly, you will know how to motivate, coach and develop a team so that exceptional food, service and standards are delivered consistently.

Pay: £30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
