Architectural Plants is an award-winning plant nursery near Pulborough in West Sussex. We are recruiting for Nursery Operative to support our busy Nursery and Estates Team on our 32-acre site. This is a demanding and physical role, so ideal candidates must be extremely fit and strong and prepared to work in all weathers. Would suit someone with commercial nursery or landscaping experience.
Duties include:
- Checking and fixing our irrigation systems.
- Moving large stock around our busy retail space.
- Potting on of large and mature plants.
- Potting by machine and hand.
- Loading and unloading deliveries.
- Clearing, fixing tree lines.
- Other general nursery duties as required, including support of our dispatch, estate and site teams.
- Weeding & watering.

- Prepared to work in all weathers.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, including a good level of spoken English.
- Forklift/Avant/telehandler experience desirable. Practical experience and logical thinker essential

Hours: 8am to 5pm
Salary: £26,500 - £28,000 depending on experience
Licence/certification: Driving Licence required. Fork lift and telehandler experience desirable
