Care Assistant – Special Needs School (Term Time Only)
Pay: £13.68 per hour PAYE
Location: South Croydon
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only
Shift Options:
9:00 AM – 1:40 PM Monday to Friday
12:10 PM – 3:30 PM Monday to Friday
Please note: There are no part‑day or flexible‑day options. You must be able to commit to one of the above shift patterns every weekday.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a compassionate and reliable Personal Care Assistant to join a welcoming special educational needs (SEN) school in Croydon.
In this rewarding role, you’ll provide personal and learning support to students with a range of physical, emotional, and learning needs — helping them to thrive and achieve their full potential in a safe, nurturing school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Provide personal care and support to students, including assistance with hygiene, toileting, and daily routines
-Help students move safely around the school and participate in classroom and recreational activities
-Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and maintaining positive routines
-Foster an inclusive, respectful, and encouraging environment for all pupils
-Follow individual care and education plans to meet each student’s specific needs
About You:
-Experience in care with children/ young adults, school support, or SEN settings is essential
-Patient, kind, and proactive with a genuine passion for supporting young people
-Confident and comfortable providing personal care where required
-Hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
-We are looking for people based within a Commutable Distance from Croydon - Please only Apply if you live close to this Area.
