1:1 SEN Tutor - Key Stage 2 & 3 - Middlesbrough
Prospero Teaching is collaborating with local authorities, SEND teams, and education partners in Middlesbrough to provide specialist one-to-one SEN tuition for pupils who require additional learning support outside a mainstream classroom setting.
About the Role
As a 1:1 SEN Tutor in Middlesbrough you will provide individualised face-to-face tutoring designed to help students re-engage with education, improve their English and Maths skills, and develop confidence in learning. Sessions are delivered in-person within community spaces, alternative education provisions, or sometimes at the learner's home, depending on their needs.
Position Details
Pay: up to £30 per hour (DOE)
- Hours: up to 15 per week per student
- Start date: June 2026
- Location: Middlesbrough
- Duration: Ongoing
- Access to CPD training and learning resources
Your Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging 1:1 lessons tailored to individual needs
- Support students' academic and emotional development
- Track progress and provide feedback to parents and professionals
- Complete basic attendance and progress reports
Requirements
Experience teaching or tutoring SEN learners (KS2 or KS3)- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
- Two years of verifiable references
