General Operatives
Location: Nelson BB9
SureStaffing UK Ltd are looking to recruit General Operatives, for our client based in Nelson BB9. Our client is a manufacturer of packaging products.
We are looking for reliable and motivated General Operatives to join a warehouse and production environment. You will play a key role in supporting manufacturing, stock handling, and order fulfilment operations across various departments.
Responsibilities and Duties of General Operatives
- Working in a production/warehouse environment
- Operate and monitor various production machinery, ensuring smooth operation throughout shifts
- Conduct quality checks on products to meet specified standards and report any defects or issues
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Shift & Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- Days and Nights (10 hours shifts)
- 30-minute unpaid break
- Overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours
Pay Rates (Hourly)
- £12.71/h
- potential to increase to £13.50 - £14.00 /hour after training
- Weekly pay

Requirements
- Good level of physical fitness
- Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift
- Strong work ethic and team player attitude
- Willingness to learn and adapt across different departments
- Must be willing to travel to site
