The Club
The Oxford and Cambridge Club is an exclusive private members Club with a Grade II*-listed Clubhouse in central London. The Club has 46 bedrooms, a fine dining restaurant, 3 banqueting suites, 2 bars, 2 squash courts, a billiard room and extensive libraries. The Club has nearly 5000 members.
The Role
We are recruiting for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic bar team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of the role in a similar environment and a friendly, customer-focused demeanour. We are looking for someone who is highly personable, passionate about delivering five-star service and thrives in a busy working environment where no two shifts are ever the same.
The role is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, any 5 days out of 7 including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
The Person
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of the role in a similar environment and a friendly, customer-focussed demeanour.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Ideally have at least 2 years’ experience working as supervisor/ assistant manager in a cocktail bar
- Capable to lead the team by example
- Highly personable, passionate about delivering 5* service and thrives in a busy working environment where no two shifts are ever the same.
- Passion for hospitality with a friendly disposition to smile
- Reliable, professional and good team player
- Excellent communication skills with good spoken and written English
Main Duties
- Prepare and serve drink orders
- To maintain appropriate levels of stock
- Ensure all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed
- Support HOD in day-to-day operations
- Ensure that team is following the Club standards

We have strict grooming standards that can be explained at interview or sent on request for example male staff must be clean shaven unless their is a religious or other reason , no visible tattoos and hair must be smart.
