We are seeking an experienced pizza chef to join our vibrant culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and customer specifications
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and used efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist in meal preparation for other menu items as required
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively during food preparation
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality and presentation
- Collaborate with team members to deliver prompt, friendly service during busy periods
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including proper handling of food and cleaning procedures
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a chef within a restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, especially related to pizza making
- Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in a commercial kitchen
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Previous experience serving customers or working in a hospitality environment is advantageous
- Ability to adapt quickly to new recipes or menu changes while maintaining high standards of quality
