We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Brunch Chef to join the team at Food by Howie at The Greenhouse Brighton.

We’re looking for a chef who has passion, creativity and pride in what they put on the plate.
You’ll be working across our exciting brunch menu creating dishes from perfectly cooked eggs on sourdough, loaded brunch plates, chicken & waffles, French toast, pancakes, pastries, cakes and plenty more.
This is not just a cooking position. We want someone who can bring ideas, create specials, help develop menus and put their own personality into the food.
The role includes:
- Running and delivering brunch service to a high standard
- Preparing and cooking fresh ingredients daily
- Working independently when required
- Managing service confidently during busy periods
- Working alongside Howie, the owners and the kitchen team on menu ideas and development
- Creating specials and bringing fresh ideas to the table
- Maintaining excellent food quality, presentation and consistency
- Keeping high standards of cleanliness and organisation
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in a similar chef role essential
- Strong cooking skills and confidence in a kitchen
- Ability to work alone and use your own initiative
- Reliable, organised and hardworking
- Passion for fresh food and creative cooking
- A team player with a positive attitude
- Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen standards
- Food hygiene certificate required
- Own knives and chef whites/apparel required
You must be comfortable working in the absence of the Head Chef and owners, taking ownership of the brunch kitchen and keeping standards high.
