Mobile Powered Access Engineer – Job Description
A leading provider of powered access equipment solutions is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Powered Access Engineer to join our team at their Swindon depot.
In this critical role, you will ensure the optimal performance and safety of our extensive fleet of scissor lifts and boom lifts. Your responsibilities will include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting complex malfunctions, collaborating on refurbishments, and providing on-site support.
We are looking for a results-oriented individual with a strong technical background and a commitment to exceptional customer service. Previous experience in the powered access industry is an asset, but we also welcome candidates with a solid foundation in plant, agricultural, or forklift engineering. A strong work ethic, a collaborative spirit, and a dedication to continuous learning are essential.
Mobile Powered Access Engineer - Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair faults on both in-house and third-party powered access equipment.
- Conduct thorough Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) and LOLER examinations.
- Assist with servicing, refurbishments, and general workshop duties.
- Respond promptly and effectively to on-site breakdowns and callouts.
Mobile Powered Access Engineer - Qualifications and Skills
- IPAF & CAP Licence a must for this role
- Proven qualifications and experience as a Powered Access Engineer or Plant Fitter.
- Valid driving license.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently.
- Team player with a commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
