Coatings Team Leader

We currently have a brilliant opportunity for a Coatings Team Leader to join our team based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire. The successful candidate will report to the Coatings Manager and be responsible for our two paint line units and the daily supervision of our paint line operatives.
Responsibilities:
Operational and H&S
· To comply with health and safety regulations and assist with monitoring health and safety within the unit
- Establishing procedures for all paint line/printing machines
- Maintaining equipment including regular inspections and supervision of daily cleaning (ensuring units are free of dangerous or hazardous material)
· Reporting on issues, malfunction, or defective parts to site management
· Assisting in repair, construction, maintenance, or other tasks for client work orders
· Reviewing work completed to ensure it is up to quality standards and ensures that all deadlines are met.
· Operating unit machinery such as forklifts or manufacturing equipment as required
· Additional tasks to support wider operations team on site
Supervision
- Daily supervision of paint line team
- Ongoing training of new and existing paint line operatives
- Supporting Coatings Manager where necessary and providing holiday cover
- Reporting on any personnel concerns
Experience and capabilities required:
· Previous experience in a Paint or Coatings environment beneficial
· Proven experience in a production/manufacturing role essential
· Clear communication skills
· Excellent attention to detail
· Ability to work as part of a team
· Understanding of basic health and safety awareness
