Generator Power is the UK's largest Independent generator company with over 26 years of experience in the industry. Generator Power has grown in recent years and is ready for further expansion. This growth offers the opportunity for an Area Sales Manager to join our team in the South West & Wales area.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- To grow and maintain existing accounts.
- Identify and contact potential new accounts developing new business opportunities.
- Develop strong relationships with new and existing customers promoting Generator Power/Trackway Solutions services and solutions (and any other company held within Generator Power Group of Companies) utilising full rental fleet and accessories including fuel.
- Always negotiate the best possible price for rental fleet, fuel, transport, and other services.
- Be aware of re-hire equipment responsibility working with Hire Desk/Service Staff and ensure correct mark up as agreed is applied to all contracts;
- Always maximise profitability for the company.
- Be available to travel to meet to customers/colleagues when required.
- Be an active part of the out of hours ‘on call’ rota.
- Assist with fleet Audits.
- To assist Hire Desk, Credit Control, and Service Department when required.
- Complete all required paperwork to a detailed accurate level and submit in a timely manner.
- Liaise and communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
- Other ad-hoc administrative office duties
- Promote teamwork and co-operation at all times, both within individual depots and right across the entire Generator Power Group of Companies.
- Treat all other employees and all our customers professionally and with respect.
- Always act in the best interests of any of the Generator Power Group of Companies, and not to carry out (or fail to carry out) any action that would bring the company into disrepute.
- Always work in a responsible manner to ensure safe working practices. Follow Health Safety Quality and Environmental guidelines provided by the the company - currently ISO 9001:14001 and OHSAS 18001 procedures, including all future notifications.
Qualifacations & Skills required:
- GCSEs High school or equivalent in Maths and English;
- Any Administration Qualification;
- Administration/Office Work or experience;
- Full UK Driving Licence;
- Competent with IT and computer packages especially Microsoft Excel & Word;
- Experience on generators/plant equipment/heavy engineering (or similar);
- Recognised Sales Qualification.
