We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong sense of organisation, and a commitment to customer service. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 3.5 tonne vahicle and adhere to all road safety regulations.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations.
- Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon receipt.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
- Adhere to company policies and health & safety standards at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with commercial driving Familiarity
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage routes and schedules efficiently.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
- Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and long periods of driving. This role is ideal for individuals who are organised, dependable, and committed to delivering excellent service while maintaining safety standards throughout their workday.
