We are seeking a friendly and professional Front of House Waiting Member to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional guest service, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere, and supporting the smooth operation of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail to deliver memorable dining experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
- Take accurate orders and relay them efficiently to the kitchen team
- Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area throughout shifts
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Handle guest queries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required during quieter periods
- Manage multiple tables effectively using good time management skills
- Process payments accurately and provide excellent guest service at all times
Skills
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is desirable but not essential
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and food handling procedures
- Experience in serving, food preparation, or culinary roles is advantageous
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently in a busy environment
- Excellent communication and guest service skills with a friendly demeanour
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Kitchen experience or culinary background is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work well within a team and independently
