West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and proactive Quality Improvement (QI) Advisor to join our central QI team. This is a key role in supporting the Trust’s strategy to embed a culture of continuous improvement, helping us deliver better outcomes and services for our patients, staff, and the future.
The QI team sits within our Strategy and Transformation Directorate , supporting improvement work across the Trust, both within our acute and community services , working collaboratively with teams to drive meaningful, sustainable change.

This varied role will see you working across clinical, corporate, and system-wide teams to coach, support, and deliver quality improvement initiatives . From facilitating projects and analysing data to designing training and spreading best practice, you’ll play a vital role in embedding improvement into everyday work.

In this role, you will work as part of the central Quality Improvement (QI) team to support teams across the Trust and wider system to deliver meaningful, measurable improvements. You will act as a coach, facilitator, and subject matter expert, enabling staff to develop the skills, confidence, and capability to lead improvement work that enhances patient care, experience, and outcomes.
Support and coach teams across the Trust to design, deliver, and evaluate quality improvement (QI) projects using recognised methodologies
Work with clinical, corporate, and system partners to identify opportunities for improvement and prioritise initiatives
Provide expert advice and guidance on quality improvement tools, techniques, and best practice
Design and deliver QI training and development sessions to build capability across the organisation
Facilitate the use of data and evidence to inform, measure, and sustain improvements
Build strong relationships to engage, influence, and support staff at all levels to embed a culture of continuous improvement
Support teams to overcome challenges, analyse problems, and implement effective solutions
Contribute to the spread and scaling of successful improvement initiatives across services
Prepare reports and present progress and outcomes to senior stakeholders and governance groups
Support participation in regional and national improvement programmes and collaborative

Adult and paediatric community services, provided in collaboration with West Suffolk Alliance partners, include a range of nursing, therapy, specialist, and ongoing temporary care and rehabilitation, some at our Newmarket Community Hospital.
