Premier Education works in close partnership with primary schools to deliver high-quality before- and after-school childcare. We are proud to provide innovative, inclusive, and well-structured wraparound provision across first, junior, and primary schools in the Milton Keynes area.
As a Playworker, you will play a vital role in creating positive experiences for children through a wide range of activities. This may include creative arts and crafts, construction and role-play, team sports, cooking activities, and free play. No two days are the same, and you will be part of a supportive team that values creativity, enthusiasm, and child wellbeing.

No prior experience is required for this role; however, a genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their safety and happiness is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of high-quality, age-appropriate play activities
- Maintain a safe, caring, and inclusive environment at all times
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children in your care
- Welcome children after school and ensure they are safely collected by parents or carers
- Prepare and set up play spaces, including equipment and resources
- Provide refreshments in line with health, hygiene, and safety standards
- Administer first aid when required
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, schools, and the wider organisation
- Attend and engage in relevant training and professional development
- Work in accordance with club policies and procedures
- Use creativity and initiative to deliver engaging and innovative activities
Hours
- 12-15 hours per week during school term time
- After-School Club: 3:00pm–6:00pm, Monday to Friday
- 1-6 hours per week additionally on Breakfast Clubs if you wish to make yourself available at this time of day (7:30am–8:45am)

Person Specification
Essential
- A strong passion for working with children
- Ability to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Excellent punctuality and attendance
Desirable
- Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification
- Experience working in a play-based or childcare setting
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Child protection training
- Paediatric First Aid Certificate
- Food Hygiene Certificate
- Full UK Driving Licence
