We are a not for profit organisation. Our Community Day Centre is based in Carlton-in-Lindrick, near Worksop.
The day centre is aimed at older adults and people with dementia. There are two rooms within the hall - a large room for socialising activities, and a smaller quiet room for more calming or 121 activities. The sessions are held on a Monday and Tuesday between 10am and 2pm.
We are looking for Volunteers to support our activities coordinator to deliver engaging activities, suitable for varying service user needs, both inside the hall and outside in the enclosed garden. These activities enhance the lives of our service users.
Ideally we would like someone who has experience of dementia be it in a working or personal capacity.
It is essential for the Volunteer to be kind and compassionate and:
- have excellent organisation skills
- respect and maintain the confidentiality of our clients
- have great communication skills
All offers will be subject to a clean enhanced DBS check.
