Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food production and presentation.
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient teamwork and adherence to company policies.
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications and standards.
- Monitor food safety practices, maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Support training programmes for new staff members to uphold consistent culinary standards.
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Assist in developing new menu items and seasonal specials to enhance customer experience.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Extensive food production, preparation, and cooking skills with a strong understanding of culinary techniques.
- Demonstrable team management capabilities with leadership qualities that motivate staff.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards.
- Previous experience in restaurant settings or similar hospitality environments is highly desirable.
