Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Qualified Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our dental practice. Duties
- Assisting dentists during clinical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
- Managing patient records accurately using IT systems, including updating personal details and treatment notes
- Greeting patients warmly upon arrival, scheduling appointments, and managing the appointment diary
- Providing clear information to patients regarding treatments, aftercare, and payment procedures
- Handling telephone enquiries professionally and efficiently
- Supporting administrative tasks such as billing, invoicing, and maintaining stock levels of dental supplies
- Ensuring the practice complies with infection control protocols at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in patient care within a dental or healthcare setting
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in IT systems relevant to dental practice management
- Ability to work well as part of a team while also demonstrating independence when required
- Good understanding of nursing principles applicable to dental care
- Friendly demeanour with a professional attitude towards patient confidentiality and privacy
