Overview
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Head Barista to lead our team in delivering exceptional coffee and customer service. Duties
- Lead and motivate the barista team to deliver outstanding coffee and service standards
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, ensuring consistency and quality
- Oversee food safety procedures, including proper handling and storage of ingredients
- Manage daily opening and closing routines, including cleaning and maintenance of equipment
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, such as assembling snacks or light meals
- Ensure efficient order processing through effective time management and organisation
- Maintain stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to prevent shortages
- Provide training and support to new staff members to uphold company standards
- Handle customer queries or complaints professionally, ensuring a positive experience
Requirements
- Proven experience as a barista, with a strong understanding of coffee preparation techniques
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a café or food service environment is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good basic maths skills for cash handling and inventory management
- Strong time management skills to ensure smooth service during busy periods
- Experience in serving customers with professionalism and friendliness
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
