Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, kitchen management, and team supervision within a dynamic hospitality environment. Duties
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation and presentation.
- Develop and design innovative menus that align with the restaurant’s concept and customer preferences.
- Oversee all aspects of food production, including cooking, plating, and quality control to ensure consistency and excellence.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs to optimise kitchen operations.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to foster professional development and teamwork.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service delivery and enhance guest satisfaction.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance the overall dining experience.
- Maintain a positive working environment that encourages creativity, efficiency, and professionalism.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience in a professional kitchen or restaurant setting.
- Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent team management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Experience in food production within a hospitality or restaurant environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively lead staff and liaise with other departments.
- Previous experience in restaurant management or as a senior chef is highly desirable.
