About the Waking Nights Staff role:
As an Waking Night you will be supporting people in their own homes. The people living in the service may have a range of needs including learning disability, autism, and mental health needs. Individuals may also have significant physical health and personal care needs and may present with behaviours that challenge services.
The service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and full time you will work 36 hours each week (pro rata for part time positions), on a rota which includes weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Working with people with varied needs
- Helping people live more independently and undertake life enhancing activities.
- Ensure people’s needs are at the heart of everything you do.
- Working with care managers and health colleagues to implement and support Positive behaviour support & therapy plans.
Essential Criteria:
- Must have previous experience supporting adults with learning disabilities.
- Be able to develop supportive relationships, promoting independence and wellbeing.
- Good IT skills as systems form an integral part of the role.
- You will be highly motivated to deliver outstanding care and support.
Desirable Criteria:
- Driving License (Desirable)
