Qualified Psychologist Salary: Full time equivalent - £49,041 to £58,488 per annum depending on experience
Senior Psychologist Salary: Full time equivalent - £64,014 - £70,613 per annum depending on experience
Hours: Full Time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Location: Northwest Region - Covering areas such as Accrington, Colne, Leyland and Preston
As part of Hexagon Care Services’ continued growth and service development we are now recruiting a Qualified Psychologist, or Senior Psychologist to provide support, assessment and interventions to children, young people and adults in our residential settings. The successful candidate will join an established team of psychologists, psychotherapists and associated allied health professionals.

The post holder will conduct individualised clinical and psychological assessments, and provide tailored interventions informed by best practice guidance. In an allocated residential home with a small, dedicated caseload, the post holder will work closely with care and education colleagues as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
The successful candidates' role will be interesting and diverse. This post will be working with young people who present with complex needs including autistic spectrum conditions, adverse childhood experiences, mild mental health difficulties, forensic histories and associative other behaviours. We aim to develop and further embed a range of psychological approaches across our registered provisions. These may include DBT, Systemic Psychotherapy, CBT, Person-Centred Therapy and EMDR. We welcome candidates trained in these approaches, as well as those who can offer alternative psychological approaches to enhance our service provision.
To undertake this role, we would expect candidates to demonstrate:
- Chartership status with the BPS or Registration with HCPC
- Experience working with areas such as ASD, Attachment difficulties, Trauma or other experience relevant to the client group.
- Candidates interested in the Senior role are to have demonstrable history and experience of management and supervision of other psychologists and professionals as appropriate
