Foreman – Net Zero Carbon Capture Project

Edge Contracting are currently recruiting experienced Foremen on both a freelance and permanent basis to work on a major Net Zero Carbon Capture Plant in Teesside.
This is a flagship multi-billion-pound infrastructure project forming part of the UK's decarbonisation strategy. Working within a highly regulated, safety-critical environment, we're looking for experienced Foremen who can lead from the front, drive productivity and maintain the highest standards of health and safety on site.

About the Role
This is a hands-on supervisory role where you'll be responsible for managing operatives on site, coordinating daily activities and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.
You'll work closely with the Site Management team to keep works progressing while maintaining the exceptionally high health and safety standards expected on this project.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising and coordinating gangs of operatives and subcontractors
- Driving productivity and ensuring works are completed safely and on programme
- Leading daily briefings and toolbox talks
- Ensuring all works comply with site procedures, RAMS and permit systems
- Monitoring the quality of work and addressing issues as they arise
- Planning daily workloads and allocating labour and plant efficiently
- Liaising with Site Managers, Engineers and subcontractors
- Promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring PPE and safe systems of work are followed at all times
- Reporting progress, delays and resource requirements to site management
- Supporting the delivery of a complex, safety-critical infrastructure project
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Foreman on large civil engineering, infrastructure or industrial projects
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage site teams
- Experience working on safety-critical projects is highly desirable
- Good understanding of health & safety legislation and site compliance
- Ability to read drawings and coordinate works on site
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- CSCS Card
- First Aid (desirable)
