Overview
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Apprentice Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. Responsibilities
- Assisting dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Providing patients with pre- and post-treatment advice, ensuring clear communication throughout their visit
- Supporting administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and maintaining accurate patient records using IT systems
- Ensuring the clinical environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards
- Developing skills in patient care, infection control, and dental assisting under supervision
- Maintaining professional communication with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of patient care principles and a genuine interest in healthcare and dentistry
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, with excellent communication skills
- Organised with strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- IT literacy to handle digital records, appointment systems, and other software applications
- Previous experience in nursing or healthcare settings is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- A caring attitude with a focus on delivering excellent patient service
