Summary
To facilitate the production of animal feed in a safe and timely manner that ensure quality standards, set by both ForFarmers and external verification bodies are met.
The Shift Technician reports directly to the Production Manager and proactively manages engineering requirements whilst on shift, Inclusive of all H&S responsibilities and communication to other departments in formal/informal manner, helping to maintain and drive improvements and maintain the ISO45001 system.
- Responsible deputy for all mill activities while on shift, and responsible for the whole site out of hours
- To ensure maintenance is carried out on plant as required
- Deliver the production plan to the required time line
- To ensure that the machines and systems placed under their control are run to optimise performance
- Manage the weekly H&S inspections in line with the confirmed plan
- To ensure that the mill is maintained to an acceptable standards of Hygiene throughout shift
- Maintain site processes/standards in line with the UFAS code of practice
- Ensure their shift is maintained to high level of H&S , and any issues are communicated in a timely manner and actions completed, and adhered to complying with BS EN ISO 450001
- Ensure Environmental management system is followed and adhered to complying with BS EN ISO 14001/50001
