Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. Duties
- Assist with meal preparation and food service, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards
- Support the cleaning and organisation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations
- Help with ingredient organisation, storage, and inventory management
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning
- Support the catering team during events or busy service periods
- Ensure that all health and safety protocols are adhered to throughout the kitchen
- Assist in serving meals to customers or guests as required
Skills
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food service is advantageous
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and meal preparation processes
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a friendly attitude towards colleagues and customers
