We are recruiting experienced Mechanical Fitters to join a major rolling stock project in South Wales.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term contract working on rail vehicles as part of a large and established maintenance programme, with an initial 6-month term and the potential for ongoing extensions.

Key Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Fitter, your duties will include:
- Carrying out maintenance and fitment activities on rolling stock and rail vehicles
- Completing underframe maintenance activities
- Mechanical fitment and component installation
- Removal and replacement of mechanical assemblies
- Planned maintenance, servicing and overhaul work
- Working from engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with industry standards
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A recognised Level 3 Mechanical qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent)
- Previous experience working as a Mechanical Fitter within the rolling stock or rail sector
- Proven experience carrying out underframe maintenance activities
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- A strong focus on safety and quality standards
