Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Practitioner Level 3 to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of children within our nursery setting. This position offers an opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills while working closely with children to foster a nurturing and stimulating environment. Applicants should possess relevant childcare qualifications, excellent communication skills, and a passion for early childhood education. A valid driving licence is desirable to facilitate flexible transportation needs.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Support children’s emotional, social, and physical development through attentive care and guidance
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children at all times
- Observe, record, and assess children's progress, sharing insights with parents and colleagues regularly
- Lead and supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of childcare
- Manage daily routines including meal times, naps, and outdoor play sessions
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures
- Contribute to the organisation of nursery activities, outings, and special events
Qualifications
- Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent recognised early childhood education certification
- Proven experience working within a nursery or similar childcare setting
- Strong management and leadership skills capable of guiding a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated ability to work well with children of various ages and backgrounds
- Knowledge of current childcare legislation and best practices in early childhood education
- Valid driving licence is preferred to support nursery operations requiring transportation arrangements
