Learning & Behaviour Mentor
Justteachers is seeking a Learning & Behaviour Mentor to join a vibrant specialist school in the Burnley area on a long‑term basis.
The full‑time post is due to start in September 2026, with shortlisting currently taking place.
The school provides a supportive, nurturing and structured environment, working closely with pupils who need additional help managing behaviour, emotions and engagement with learning. The focus is on building positive relationships, emotional regulation and re‑engaging pupils with their education.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Providing 1:1 and small‑group mentoring to support learning and positive behaviour
- Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, self‑esteem and classroom engagement
- Working collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff to implement behaviour and support plans
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- Relevant qualifications or experience in mentoring, pastoral or behavioural support
- Proven experience supporting children or young people with behavioural or additional needs
- Strong knowledge of behaviour management strategies and relationship‑based approaches
- Two education or school‑based references
