Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as directed by chefs, including chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
- Help with the delivery and storage of food supplies, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Support chefs during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
- Participate in regular cleaning schedules, including deep cleaning tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices is preferred.
