Full job description

About the role

Job Specification:

To ensure compliance to Food Safety legislation at site
To promote a quality culture

Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement
Assessing product specifications and customer requirements
Ensuring compliance with legal and customer standards
Maintenance of third-party certification e.g. BRCGS or specific customer standards
Agreeing and implementation of in-house and group standards
Defining processes and implementing group procedures
Working methodically to establish a clearly defined management system that all staff can apply
Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation
Supervising staff in carrying out tests and checks.
Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and corrective actions are implemented as require.
Complaint handling and investigation
Supplier approval management
Collating and analysing performance data against defined parameters
Providing reports as required
Pinpointing relevant training needs

Qualifications and Experience

Food related qualification or experience within a food business
Experience as an internal auditor
Experience of BRC and 3rd party audits
HACCP qualification
Health and Safety Experience. IOSH qualification desirable but training will be given.
Computer skills, especially Microsoft Word and Excel
Exceptional organisational skills
Able to work calmly and efficiently under strict time constraints
