A bit about the role...
The Regulatory Compliance Manager is a key role within Propensio Finance’s second line of defence, reporting to the Head of Compliance (SMF16).
You will lead the delivery and oversight of day-to-day compliance activity, ensuring regulatory obligations are met through consistent, high-quality monitoring, advisory, and policy management.
Managing a small team, you will set standards, review outputs, and drive improvement across the compliance framework. You will oversee the provision of regulatory advice, support the effective identification and reporting of compliance risks, and ensure appropriate controls are embedded across the business.
This role is central to ensuring that Consumer Duty, CONC, the Consumer Credit Act, FCA requirements, GDPR, and internal policies are applied consistently, while providing assurance and support to the Head of Compliance across key regulatory responsibilities.
A bit about you…
An experienced compliance professional with a strong background in consumer credit, you bring a proven ability to lead and develop others within a regulated environment.
You will also have a strong understanding of the FCA regulatory framework, including CONC, Consumer Duty, SYSC, PRIN, the Consumer Credit Act, and GDPR, and the ability to apply these requirements in a practical and commercially balanced way. Comfortable operating across both delivery and oversight, you will be able to balance hands‑on technical work with review and challenge, ensuring outputs are accurate and aligned to regulatory expectations. You engage confidently with senior stakeholders, influencing decision‑making where required, and bring a structured, pragmatic approach with strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements clearly and effectively.
