Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in management within retail or sales environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape strategic initiatives, manage teams effectively, and drive organisational success. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining high standards of customer service, and fostering a positive work environment. This position is paid and suitable for candidates with a passion for management and organisational excellence.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all aspects of the organisation’s operations, including sales, merchandising, and customer service.
Supervise and motivate team members to achieve business objectives while maintaining high standards of performance.
Develop and implement strategic plans to increase sales, optimise processes, and improve overall organisational efficiency.
Oversee staff recruitment, training, and development programmes to ensure a competent and motivated workforce.
Manage administrative tasks such as budgeting, reporting, and maintaining organisational compliance with policies and regulations.
Cultivate strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders through effective communication and professional phone etiquette.
Organise schedules to ensure optimal utilisation of resources while maintaining excellent organisational skills.
Analyse sales data and market trends to inform merchandising strategies and promotional activities.
Ensure the organisation adheres to health & safety standards and promotes a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Proven management experience within retail management or sales management roles.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable.
Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
Experience in merchandising, sales strategies, and administrative functions.
Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience supervising staff or managing teams is essential.
