Solutions Architect - Part Time - 2 Days a week

The role will involve creating winning technical solutions to the needs of potential new customers within the MOD space. It will involve close working with Account, Business Development, Product, Bid, Procurement, Project and Service functions within Telent, and close working relationships with both suppliers and customers.

Key Deliverables

Lead technical strategy discussions with senior customer personnel.
Lead and produce technical options papers as part of agreeing strategy
Lead consultancy advice to customers
Create and cost solutions in response to customer requirements (e.g. RFP)
Describe the solution details and compliances within the required RFP format
Present the solution to customers
Lead and develop generic solutions to industry needs and requirements
Develop technical specifications, network architecture documentation and other relevant documentation

Responsibilities

Update roadmap documents to reflect the strategy
Work with the customer to form budgets for the next Financial Year
Liaise closely with partners, vendors and suppliers
Identification and integration of innovative products and services from new/existing technology partners
To provide relevant training
To create the technical requirements documentation based on business process requirements
End to end responsibility for the specification, design, configuration and deployment of the solution, including all documentation, statements of work, handbooks, user guides, training and successful transfer into operations.
To ensure that the solution includes the requirements of other in scope deliverable areas and that the solution is fully integrated with the other deliverable areas
To develop a strong understanding of the portfolio of applications used within the operational environment

Skill Requirements

Recent MOD experience
Be eligible for SC Clearance due to the nature of the role
PAVA Solutions
CCTV Solutions
Track record of successful delivery of relevant technology, products and projects
Technical knowledge products/solutions in appropriate discipline for relevant business sectors
Proven experience of managing complexity and change
Excellent financial and commercial awareness
Excellent influencing and negotiating skills
Ability to communicate at all levels in the business
Excellent client facing skills
Strong and proven ability to work under pressure
