Job Title:

Pharmacist Manager (Skilled Worker / Health and Care Visa Sponsorship Available)

Salary:

£42,000.00 – £65,000.00 per year (Dependent on Experience)

Working Hours (44 hours per week):

Monday to Friday: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

Job Overview:

We are seeking a driven, energetic, and clinically focused Pharmacist Manager to take operational leadership of our busy, service-driven Woolston branch in Southampton. Pharmacy Direct is a trusted, family-owned independent group committed to long-term stability—meaning no corporate micromanagement, no revolving-door staffing, and no agency fees.

As an approved UK Home Office Skilled Worker Visa Sponsor, we hold an active licence and gladly welcome applications from qualified international pharmacists already in the UK (including OSPAP graduates, those completing their UK foundation year, or those looking to switch visa sponsors) as well as overseas applicants fully eligible for immediate UK registration.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Clinical Leadership: Act as the Responsible Pharmacist, leading the dispensary team to deliver exceptional patient care, medication management, and advanced clinical services (including Pharmacy First, NMS, flu, and travel vaccinations).
Community Engagement: Build trusted links with local surgeries, GPs, and stakeholders to actively drive prescription volume and unlock the branch's growth capacity.
Team Development: Supervise, mentor, and optimise the daily workflow of a stable, skilled support team of dispensers and technicians.
Operational Excellence: Oversee medication dispensing processes, ensuring absolute accuracy, safety, and inventory/stock control in line with legal guidelines.
Regulatory Compliance: Maintain full compliance with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), NHS standards, and pharmaceutical legislation.

Requirements:

GPhC Registration: You must be a qualified Pharmacist registered (or eligible for immediate registration) with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) in the UK. (Mandatory)
Clinical Drive: A strong interest or proven track record in delivering advanced community clinical services (Pharmacy First / NMS).
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, with previous pharmacy management experience being a plus (though we will mentor the right candidate with ambition and heart).
Organisation: Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage dispensary operations effectively in a fast-paced environment.
