Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Care Navigator to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in coordinating patient care, providing administrative support, and ensuring seamless communication between patients and healthcare providers. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organisational skills and a passion for patient-centred care to contribute meaningfully within a supportive environment.

Duties

Act as the primary point of contact for patients, offering guidance and support throughout their care journey
Manage appointment scheduling, follow-ups, and referrals efficiently using various software tools
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records through data entry and administrative tasks
Utilise Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and QuickBooks to prepare reports, correspondence, and documentation
Handle incoming calls with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
Organise and prioritise daily tasks to ensure timely delivery of services
Assist with billing processes and other clerical duties as required
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient services and address any concerns promptly

Experience

Previous office experience or administrative experience is preferred
Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive)
Experience with data entry, clerical tasks, and basic bookkeeping using QuickBooks is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent typing speed and accuracy to support documentation needs
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally via phone and email
Familiarity with healthcare or social services settings is a plus but not essential
