Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Kitchen Porter / Cleaner to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this vital role, you will ensure the cleanliness, organization, and smooth operation of our kitchen and dining areas. Your energetic approach will help maintain a hygienic environment, support culinary staff, and contribute to an exceptional guest experience. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills within a vibrant hospitality setting.

Duties

Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including washing vegetables, peeling, and organizing ingredients
Maintain cleanliness of Production Unit surfaces, utensils, appliances, and floors to meet health and safety standards
Support chefs and kitchen staff by ensuring all dishes and equipment are sanitized and ready for use
Clear and clean tables in dining areas promptly after service to uphold a tidy environment
Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed accurately
Restock supplies such as cleaning materials, utensils, and consumables as needed throughout shifts
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents and maintain hygiene standards

Skills

Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards
Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen and service teams
Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant cleaning is advantageous but not essential
Knowledge of basic kitchen hygiene practices and safety procedures
Enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn culinary processes and hospitality operations
Reliable team player committed to supporting the overall success of the hospitality environment
