Job Title: Project & Transport Coordinator

Role Summary
As Project & Transport Coordinator at JL Logistics, you will be responsible for
coordinating transport operations and project-based delivery and installation activities
across the UK. You will ensure deliveries, collections, installations, and retail rollout
projects are planned efficiently, communicated effectively, and completed on time and
within client expectations.
Working closely with drivers, installation teams, warehouse staff, suppliers, and
customers, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of both day-to-day
transport operations and larger project logistics.
Key Responsibilities
Transport Planning & Coordination
- Plan and coordinate daily transport activities, including collections, deliveries, and
installation logistics.
- Allocate jobs to drivers, subcontractors, and installation teams based on location,
availability, and operational requirements.
- Monitor vehicle movements and job progress, proactively managing delays, changes,
or issues.
- Ensure all transport activities are scheduled efficiently to maximise resource
utilisation and service levels.
- Maintain accurate records of transport bookings, schedules, and job completion
information.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate retail rollout, POS installation, merchandising, and project-based logistics
activities.
- Liaise with clients to understand project requirements, deadlines, and site-specific
instructions.
- Schedule installation teams, transport resources, and equipment required for project
delivery.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to clients and internal
stakeholders.
- Ensure project documentation, reports, photographs, and completion records are
collected and submitted accurately.
Customer & Client Management
- Act as a key point of contact for customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and site
contacts.
- Provide regular updates on deliveries, installations, and project progress.
- Resolve operational issues and customer queries professionally and efficiently.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients to support service
excellence.
Administration & Reporting
- Prepare job sheets, delivery schedules, installation instructions, and project
documentation.
- Maintain accurate records within company systems and databases.
- Assist with reporting on project performance, transport activity, and operational KPIs.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure transport and project activities comply with company procedures, health &
safety requirements, and client specifications.
- Verify that drivers and installation teams have the correct documentation, equipment,
and information required for each job.
- Assist in maintaining compliance records and operational documentation.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in transport planning, logistics coordination, project
coordination, or operations administration.
- Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working within transport, logistics, retail installations, POS, or project
delivery environments.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work under pressure and respond proactively to operational challenges.
Desirable
- Experience coordinating nationwide retail rollouts or installation projects.
- Knowledge of transport regulations and logistics operations.
- Experience using transport management, scheduling, or project management
software.

Salary
- Starting salary: £28,000 - £32,000 (depending on experience)
- Thereafter: Annual salary review in line with company policy and performance.

Working Hours
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm, subject to business
requirements.
- You are entitled to 1 hour of paid breaks per day, which may be taken and divided at
your discretion.
Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
