Job Summary

Kedleston Dental practice is a predominantly Private practice, with Denplan and a small NHS list. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our reputable dental practice. The successful candidate will provide high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their oral health and overall wellbeing. There is a degree of flexibility with days but would ideally need to include a Monday and Tuesday.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive dental examinations and diagnose oral health issues using clinical assessments and medical imaging.
Develop personalised treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, explaining procedures clearly and compassionately.
Perform a wide range of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, root canals, and cosmetic treatments.
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with legal and professional standards.
Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and sterilisation procedures to guarantee patient safety.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies.
Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure smooth practice operations.
Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in dentistry through continuous professional development.

Skills

Proficiency in interpreting medical imaging such as X-rays and intraoral scans.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple patients efficiently.
Strong communication skills to explain complex procedures clearly and empathetically.
Ability to work effectively within a team whilst maintaining a high standard of patient care.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards in dentistry.
