Overview

The Dore Bar & Grill is a well-loved neighbourhood restaurant in Sheffield, proudly part of The Northern Collective — an independent hospitality, retail & leisure group operating across the Peak District and South Sheffield. Our group spans restaurants, bakeries, and retail-led food concepts, with a strong focus on quality, consistency, and developing great people.

The Role

We're looking for a talented Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen team. In this role, you'll take ownership of our breakfast service, ensuring every dish is prepared and presented to a consistently high standard while delivering an efficient, organised, and welcoming start to the day.

Working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chefs, you'll be responsible for preparing and serving breakfast, maintaining exceptional kitchen standards, and ensuring all mise en place is completed for both breakfast and the wider kitchen operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated chef who enjoys early starts, takes pride in quality, and wants to develop within a supportive and growing hospitality group.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and present a high-quality breakfast offering to company standards.
Take ownership of the breakfast service, ensuring food is delivered efficiently and consistently.
Prepare mise en place for breakfast and support prep for later services where required.
Maintain recipe accuracy, portion control, and quality standards.
Ensure your section is clean, organised, and fully prepared before, during, and after service.
Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, stock rotation, and minimise waste.
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures.
Work efficiently during busy breakfast periods while maintaining attention to detail.
Support the wider kitchen team and contribute to a positive, professional working environment.
Assist with menu development and seasonal breakfast specials where appropriate.

About You

Previous experience as a Breakfast Chef, Chef de Partie, or a strong Commis Chef looking to specialise in breakfast service.
Passionate about delivering high-quality food with consistency.
Organised, reliable, and comfortable working early morning shifts.
Able to work independently while communicating effectively with the wider team.
Calm under pressure with excellent time management skills.
Takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and professional kitchen.
A positive team player who is eager to learn and develop.
