Full job description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced, friendly, smiley and professional Bartender to join our team during evenings and weekends. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality and providing exceptional customer service in a lively bar environment. Communication and attentiveness is a must, alongside reliability. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, serving drinks efficiently, and ensuring guests enjoy their experience. Previous restaurant or bar experience is preferred, along with a strong focus on food safety and responsible service.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails to customers in a timely and courteous manner
Take orders accurately and handle cash or card payments using the POS system
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
Restock supplies as needed, including glassware, garnishes, and beverages
Engage with guests to create a welcoming environment and promote special offers or events
Monitor guest behaviour to ensure responsible alcohol service and adherence to licensing laws
Assist in setting up the bar before opening and closing procedures after hours

Requirements

Proven experience in hospitality, particularly in serving or bartending roles within restaurants or bars
Must be available to work weekends.
Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service regulations
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Good time management skills to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Personal presentation that reflects professionalism and friendliness
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
