Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be organised, and have a genuine desire to improve the well-being of others. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while developing your skills within the healthcare sector.

Duties

Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
Support the implementation of personalised care plans tailored to individual needs
Monitor and record health conditions and report any concerns to senior staff
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents or clients
Assist with medication administration in accordance with healthcare protocols
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all service users
Support with light domestic tasks such as laundry and meal preparation
Drive or accompany clients on outings or appointments as required
Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and their families to ensure seamless care delivery

Qualifications

Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided for suitable candidates
Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation of clients
Good organisational skills and ability to follow detailed care plans accurately
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for effective communication
Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation
Excellent communication skills with a caring and empathetic approach towards clients
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
