As part of our expansion, we are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking Airport Porters to join our growing team at London Gatwick Airport.

Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as an Airport Porter (Baggage Handler) and become a vital part of the travel experience! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling passenger baggage, ensuring smooth and timely transfer of luggage between aircraft and terminal. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will help create a seamless journey for travelers while maintaining safety and security standards. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where every day brings new challenges and rewards.

Duties

Safely load, unload, and transport passenger baggage to designated areas within the airport premises
Assist passengers with their luggage, providing friendly and helpful service
Ensure all baggage is correctly tagged, documented, and handled according to airport regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of baggage handling areas to promote safety and efficiency
Collaborate with airline staff and security personnel to coordinate baggage movements and address any issues promptly
Follow established safety procedures during all handling activities to prevent accidents or damage
Support the overall flow of baggage operations during peak travel times to meet tight schedules

Skills

Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment
Excellent analysis skills for inspecting baggage for safety concerns or irregularities
Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry luggage for extended periods comfortably
Good communication skills to interact positively with passengers and team members
Attention to detail for accurate baggage tagging, documentation, and handling procedures
Physical stamina and strength to perform demanding manual tasks safely and efficiently
