Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy culinary establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food, and a comprehensive understanding of food safety and management practices. This role involves managing kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food quality, and maintaining efficient workflow to deliver exceptional dining experiences. The Kitchen Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive team environment and ensuring the smooth running of all kitchen activities.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate all kitchen operations, including food production, preparation, and presentation
Lead and motivate kitchen staff, including cooks, chefs, and support personnel, to achieve operational excellence
Oversee food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations and hygiene practices
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to optimise profitability
Develop menus in collaboration with culinary staff, ensuring variety and quality
Train new team members and provide ongoing professional development for existing staff
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment
Monitor food quality during preparation and service to meet company standards
Ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining high customer satisfaction levels
Implement efficient workflow processes to maximise productivity during peak hours

Qualifications

Proven experience in food production, cooking, serving, or food preparation within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Previous management or supervising experience in a culinary environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Familiarity with restaurant operations, including inventory management and cost control
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
Experience in culinary arts or hospitality industry credentials are highly desirable
Demonstrated commitment to high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service
