We are working with a leading Defence organisation at the forefront of national security, cyber defence and advanced technology to recruit experienced Scrum Masters for a growing delivery function supporting critical programmes across the UK.

- Due to the nature of the work, candidates must hold current and active eDV (Enhanced Developed Vetting) clearance.
The Role
As a Scrum Master, you'll play a pivotal role in enabling high-performing Agile teams, ensuring they can deliver value effectively while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous learning.
Working closely with Product Owners, delivery teams and stakeholders, you'll coach teams through Agile best practices, remove delivery impediments and help drive organisational Agile maturity.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, team workshops and regular health checks to ensure effective delivery and team engagement.
- Champion Agile values, principles and practices across teams and wider stakeholder groups.
- Coach and support teams in adopting and continuously improving Agile ways of working.
- Help teams identify, prioritise and maximise value delivery through effective planning and backlog management.
- Proactively identify and remove obstacles that may impact team performance or delivery outcomes.
- Create a psychologically safe environment where teams feel empowered to innovate, experiment and learn from both successes and setbacks.
- Support teams in problem-solving, decision-making and conflict resolution.
- Foster strong working relationships across delivery teams, stakeholders and business functions.
- Partner with Product Owners to support backlog refinement, prioritisation and product vision development.
- Act as an Agile advocate, contributing to wider organisational transformation and Communities of Practice.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives at team, programme and organisational level.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience working as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach or similar delivery-focused role.
- Strong facilitation, coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to support teams through complex challenges.
- Practical experience working within Agile delivery environments, including Scrum, Kanban or other Agile frameworks.
- Demonstrable understanding and application of Agile principles and methodologies.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive positive change without formal authority.
- Scrum certification such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or equivalent.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
- Passion for continuous improvement, innovation and creating high-performing teams.
Desirable Attributes
- Experience working within highly regulated, secure or mission-critical environments.
- Interest in emerging technologies, software engineering practices and modern delivery approaches.
- Active participation in Agile communities, knowledge-sharing initiatives or coaching networks.
- Experience supporting Agile transformation programmes or organisational change initiatives.
