Hancock & Brown Timber Builders Merchants is Swansea’s largest and most established independent merchant, proudly serving the community since 1978. Specializing in timber, decking & fencing products, we operate from a spacious warehouse facility centrally located to efficiently serve the surrounding areas.

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and reliable Delivery Van Driver to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely delivering building materials to our customers while providing excellent service. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help ensure timely deliveries and foster positive relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vans to transport building materials and supplies to various customer locations.
Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling.
Communicate effectively with customers upon delivery, addressing any questions or concerns professionally.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for all shipments.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with traffic laws.
Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate inventory and delivery schedules.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a strong focus on safety and punctuality.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Experience in commercial driving, including handling large or heavy vehicles.
Warehouse experience or familiarity with loading/unloading procedures is a plus.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of daily duties.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
Knowledge of local roads and navigation tools for efficient route planning.

Pay: £13.11 per hour
