Job Description:

Role Purpose The Workshop Administrator / Parts Advisor supports the efficient day-to-day operation of the workshop by coordinating schedules, managing workflow, and providing excellent customer service. The role involves handling parts enquiries, ordering supplies, allocating jobs, and ensuring smooth communication between customers and technicians.

Key Responsibilities

Manage customer enquiries via phone, email, and in person, providing professional advice on parts and services.
Promote and sell parts and related services while delivering excellent customer service.
Schedule workshop jobs and allocate labour to maximise efficiency and productivity.
Ensure all work is properly authorised and completed in line with company procedures.
Order parts and workshop supplies, balancing cost-effectiveness with quality requirements.
Assist in preparing estimates and maintaining accurate job records.
Monitor job progress, communicate updates, and resolve delays or issues promptly.
Assess customer requirements and provide clear product information and recommendations.

Skills & Experience

Strong organisational, communication, and customer service skills.
Knowledge of vehicle parts, accessories, and workshop operations.
Ability to multitask, prioritise workloads, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive, adaptable, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer systems.
Positive, professional attitude with a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.

Additional Requirements

Attend and contribute to team meetings when required.
Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
