As you learn what you like and don't like you can grow into that area of the work. Adam our managing director is an ex-software developer and the whole business is developer led. The software is used by thousands of people a day and the experience of writing software that has to perform for that number of people is exciting. But we expect you to make mistakes and support you to develop your skills.

We are Hoowla, an innovative and rapidly growing software provider to the legal and property industry. We are passionate about improving an industry, helping customers and solving problems. We strive to provide the very best software and an excellent service to our customers and are continually developing new and exciting tools to enhance our offering.

We are looking to hire a graduate PHP developer to work on both our in-house software project as well as varied client work. The position will start after exams and subject to the candidate’s availability.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an enthusiastic development team with opportunities to grow with the company.

What we are looking for

You will be working on the development of ours and client’s software and be involved in all aspects of the technical development, programming, testing and implementing of our web based services.

The ideal applicant will have completed a relevant degree such as Computer Science or Software Engineering. Ideally you will have done a work placement as a PHP Developer, or have some kind of commercial experience, but this is not essential.

Most importantly we are looking for someone enthusiastic who loves to work in a varied and challenging environment.

Skills are important, but so is attitude. We are a small team so there may be times when you will need to talk to customers as well as liaise with other companies that we work and are integrated with.

Technical requirements : –

PHP

You must : –

be confident and have your own opinion
be a problem solver

It’d be great if you have : –

experience with Git or other VCS
experience with Linux
an understanding of RESTful APIs
JavaScript Frameworks (Angular/Vue/Knockout)
experience with an additional language (such as Go, Python or C#)

Pay: £26,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
