CAD/CAM Programmer

Location: Preston, Lancashire
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

AK Stainless Ltd is looking for an experienced CAD/CAM Programmer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming and nesting components using TruTops software for our Trumpf laser machines.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company with a strong reputation for quality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Create efficient nests using TruTops.
Maximise material utilisation and minimise waste.
Prepare production-ready programs to meet delivery schedules.
Liaise with the sales and production teams to ensure jobs are programmed with the deadlines.
Maintain accurate job records and documentation.
Support continuous improvement of programming processes.

Requirements

Previous experience using TruTops or similar CAD/CAM nesting software.
Experience programming Trumpf laser cutting machines is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
