Overview

Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Kitchen Porter and become an essential part of delivering exceptional dining experiences. In this lively role, you will support the kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. Your energy and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for both staff and guests, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant or hotel establishment.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and work surfaces to uphold the highest hygiene standards
Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
Support the movement of ingredients and supplies within the kitchen to ensure smooth workflow
Dispose of waste responsibly and maintain cleanliness in storage areas and dishwashing stations
Ensure all kitchen tools and appliances are stored properly after use
Help with serving duties during busy periods, including delivering food to tables or buffet areas
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to maintain a safe working environment for everyone

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations is advantageous
Experience in customer service or serving roles can be beneficial in understanding guest expectations
Basic knowledge of hygiene standards and safety protocols within a culinary environment
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
